The Society of Cytologists and Geneticists publishes continuously scientific journal “THE JOURNAL OF CYTOLOGY AND GENETICS” founded in 1966. The journal is devoted all areas of plant and animal cytology, genetics, biotechnology, cell and molecular biology including those of interdisciplinary nature and publishes articles from around the world presenting results of major research from cytology, genetics, evolution, biotechnology and molecular biology and this has served as a platform for the scientific fraternity to get their work acknowledged and highlighted. Two issues from one volume published in June and December every year. All articles published in the journal have been peer reviewed by the referees and deemed to reflect the individual opinions of authors and not of the publisher. The journal is projected as a medium for communication and discussion of important issues that concern science and scientific activities. Further, the journal publishes full length articles, shorter communications and review articles.
In 1998, the journal was registered with RNI vide Regn. No: KARENG/1998/2115
Welcome to Society of Cytologists and Geneticists (SCG). The inception of SCG was in the year 1965 by the eminent stalwarts of Cytology and Genetics. The society is intended as a medium for communication and discussion of important aspects that concerns Cytology, Genetics, Evolution and other scientific areas.
