Brief Academic Achievements :

25 years of UG and PG teaching experience, Awards- University Merit Scholarship (1983-86), First Rank for MSc (1988), A Grade for M.Phil (1991) and FIAAT in 2006. E C Member of the Society of Cytologists and Geneticists (2012-2016) and Indian Association for Angiosperm Taxonomy (2012 – 2014). Produced one PhD and guiding seven Research Scholars. Reported two new species of Salacia L. in 2012 -2013. Completed one UGC Major with one ongoing UGC Minor Research Project. Authored three books, published 26 papers in International and National peer-reviewed journals, presented 75 papers in International and National Seminars. Expert Committee Member for the Green Protocol Evaluation Committee of the 35th National Games of India (February 2015), judged science exhibitions, reviewed several papers in National peer-reviewed journals like Rheedea, Journal of Human Ecology etc., and worked as Co-ordinator of the NAAC Steering Committee of Sree Narayana College, Chempazhanthy. And member of IQAC, RUSA Committee, Planning Board, Purchase Committee, Ethical Committee etc., and has also been a Member of the Botany Syllabus Preparation Committee for selection to teaching posts in the Collegiate Department, Government of Kerala.
