Brief Academic Achievements :

Cytogenetic studies in crop plants (fababean, barley, mungbean, Prosopis cineraria, Prosopis juliflora) and Laboratory animals (Mice, Drosophila and Trichogramma chilonis). Genotoxic studies with some agricultural chemicals using fababean, barley, mice and Drosophila as test systems. Mutation studies in barley, mungbean, wheat, cotton and Jatropha curcas. Breeding studies in the improvement of wheat. Associated in the development of wheat varieties as collaborator and developer. Wheat Varieties identified, released and notified at National Level : WH 1105, 1124 and WH 1142 (Bread wheat) -North Western Plain Zone (NWPZ): WHD 943 and WHD 948 (Durum wheat). and North Western Plain Zone (NWPZ) and Peninsular Zone(PZ).

In addition to this, actively involved in teaching various courses of Genetics and Cytogenetics at Under-graduate and Post-graduate Levels in the University.

One of the authors in Practical manuals for UG and PG courses in Genetics and Cytogenetics and guided 5 M.Sc. and 4 Ph.D., students.
